Hello there,

Thank you for stopping by!  A little about me — I grew up on my family’s 30-acre wood in western New York State learning to love nature and reading.  My cherished time as a mom and as a preschool and elementary teacher included raising butterflies, collecting pollywogs, growing a sunflower house, exploding Mentos volcanoes, coaching Odyssey of the Mind and of course reading, writing, and rhyming together.  (I also was a college ESL instructor for a dozen years and even tried saving the world for a while.)

Some of my passions are spending time on or in the water, handcrafting one-of-a-kind greeting cards, and going on long walking pilgrimages (as you can see from the rest of the hallowedway blog).  I live with my husband, aka Mr. Wonderful, in South Florida.  The Gulf of Mexico: A Rhyming Animal Adventure is the debut book in my ALL IN ONE DAY series.  You can purchase your copy online here.

p.s.  I’m also working on a historical novel about the terrible yet triumphant story of my Sicilian great-grandparents as told through the fictional journals of my great-grandmother Antonina.  And look for my other children’s book series, LITTLE LAURA STORIES, anticipated later this year.
