Last fall, we started the Via Francigena by driving to Canterbury, UK and through France. Stopping at many of Sigeric’s stops.
This spring, we are walking the Via Francigena from Lucca to Rome, and capturing everything on video. We actually took a train from Lucca to Altopascio, since the Via Francigena trail is through city streets only for that section. Starting in Altopascio was special, since we started at the Saint James the Greater church in Altopascio.
